good for the home machinist / inventor August 19, 2013
Reviewer: Samuel Reid from Chippewa Falls, WI United States
A good primer for basic mechanical engineering principles.  Useful for the home machinist / foundry man or inventor.  Covers basic things to avoid, like where stress points occur and hole locations relative to casting features.

Things that are Usually Wrong / machinery March 8, 2013
Reviewer: Jon Siegel from Wilmot, NH United States
An unusual book that seems older than the 1906 date; it is largely about steam engines---but has good comments about other machines also.
