Gives a good insight into shop practice "back in the day". Also covers a good amount in what to do, and what not to do.

There is not a lot of information in this book that is applicable to today (unless you are rebuilding steam locomotives), but it is interesting to note the heavy cuts they were able to make in the days before carbide cutting tools. The processes and techniques are described in enough detail that they could be duplicated today if you only can find the machinery.
